Thank you Rep. Platts!

On May 25, Congressman Todd Platts, member of the House of Representatives  for the 19th District in Pennsylvania, proposed an amendment that would restore funding for Parental Information Resource Centers (PIRCs). The funding for this important program to help keep parents engaged in schools was to be discontinued by July, and Rep. Platts’ amendment will allow this program to continue to operate. PIRCs serve as a bridge between educational agencies, local school districts, and parents to improve education state by state, and often drive school reform.
