49ers Conference by the Focus Foundation

Today I am in Baltimore, attending and presenting at the Focus Foundation‘s annual 49XXXXY conference. The Focus Foundation is the first and only research-based foundation working to increase awareness as well as identify and help children with X and Y variations. These genetic conditions can often go undiagnosed and children run the risk of not having their needs appropriately recognized and addressed early. Here is the Focus Foundation’s latest PSA:

I am very excited to be presenting today at the 49ers conference; here is the Prezi that I will be giving about ensuring that your child is receiving a free, appropriate public education.

I am also excited about seeing the other presentations, especially The Out-of-Sync Child: Focusing on Sensory Processing Disorder. I have found this to be a great resource for understanding the sensory processing issues that so often arise for children with disabilities.
